# How to make the SD card readable on Mac

Please use the Windows computer. Take Win10 as an example.\
Plug your card into the computer, it will prompt you that this card is not readable, and ask you to format it.&#x20;\
Click “No”, don’t format the card now.

Now, right-click “This PC” or “My Computer”.\
Then click “Manage”.

Find “Disk Management”

Find the disk for your SD card.\
Yours may not called “Disk 2”, but you can find the one with the capacity close to 128GB, such as mine, 119.25GB, then that’s the disk for your SD card.\
Or you can remove the SD card from the computer, to see which Disk disappear, then that’s it.

You will see that the Disk has 2 partition, one is 16MB, the other is 119.23GB. (Yours may not the same number).\
Right-click on the larger one, and choose “Delete Volume…”

Click “Yes”, then you’ll see that the Disk has been combined to a single one.

Then remove the SD card from the computer, and plug it into the camera.\
Power on the camera, you will see that the camera doesn’t start recording automatically.\
Go to the Settings of the camera.

Find the “Format” option, and format the SD card.\
Once finish, you can use the card normally in your Mac.

**Please remember not format the card in your Mac again in the future,**&#x20;\
**just format it in the camera.**
